Dan,
Thanks, the second repeater sounds like a good deal for the club. We can discuss this further on Wednesday.
All,
An inexpensive way to get into the Yaesu C4FM digital is their FTM-3200DR 2M transceiver. While it is a stripped down model (no APRS or GPS) it's functional and relatively inexpensive - and does analog as well as digital. DX Engineering is currently selling it for $135.
October 26 is our last scheduled club meeting for 2016. One of the agenda items is the date and location for the annual banquet in January. See you at Yani's!
73,
Roger

W5SFA members,
We will have one test to give for the evening.
I have had an offer to donate $500 for the second digital repeater (Yaesu setup on 2M) it the club will buy the interface box (DR-1x) needed to put it on the controller (less than190 bucks including shipping).
In addition I am going to install an ICOM 2M D-Star digital on the new antenna the county put up for us. This is a no charge thing. Just doing it for the fun of it. I don’t even have a radio that will work on it.
See you at the meeting.
Dan, W5AOV
