     Good Afternoon:

There were some questions raised last night at the meeting regarding
D-Star radios. Icom was the first on the market with them and I have a link
below that will take you to the Icom web site for your viewing of what they
have to offer. I own three of them and have been pleased with their
performance and capability. Keep in mind these radios will also operate
analogue FM and are loaded with features.

Kenwood also makes a D-star handheld radio that is a tri bander.
144/220/430 mhz. The link is below

For a better understanding of D-star I have a couple of links below that
are You Tube videos explaining how it works and how to program.

There are numerous ways to connect to D-star going directly through your
computer, however I have only sent info only for radios that work through
the Dstar Austin Radio Club repeater. If I can answer any questions on
Dstar I will be glad to share what limited knowledge I have so give me a
call.
