Folks,

If you're not interested in the above topic, press <delete> now :-)

Here is some more info about running FLDIGI on the RPi.

. The Pi does not have an audio input, so you need to have a sound
card hooked up to it. These are very cheap...$6 on Amazon
<http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001MSS6CS> for a USB sound card. There
are also audio boards available that can piggypack on top of the Pi, but
these are a bit more expensive.

. You will also need an isolation device

There is a cheap kit available on eBay for $10 that includes audio isolation
transformers as well as an optoisolated keying circuit.

. An alternative to the above two devices would be to use a
Signalink or similar device, which combines the two. But it's quite a bit
more expensive (around $100).

. Obviously, you will need a display, either a cheap monitor or one
of the small touch screens made for the Pi. From what I've seen these
aren't exactly inexpensive, and approach the cost of a regular monitor.
And a keyboard and mouse for the Pi.

Here is a link that details the hookup of the parts:

This link has the software installation script for FLDIGI on the Pi:

I have not tried any of the above, but if anyone wants to take the plunge
this will get you started...
