<br></div><div> Roger,<br>Just a quick note about KARS' Winter Field Day plans. Due to weather conditions and associated road uncertainties, KARS has called off any Winter Field Day activities. The site would have been accessed on lightly traveled roadways which may have made the return trip back to Harris County difficult.<br>We are thinking about planning a day (on a Saturday) later this Spring to go out there and just have fun with our radios. If and when those plans develop, I will reach out to you and the Stephen F Austin Radio club.<br>Stay warm. Stay safe. This will be between Hempstead and FM 529 and just east of the Brazos. We would like to invite members from your club to come out and participate in Winter Field Day activities with us. We are planning to make it an enjoyable time, yes we will be logging contacts, but not in a fast and furious manner as we do in the summer. Food and soft drinks/water will be on site and restrooms are available.<br clear="none">KARS has well over 125 members that are classified as "active" and several more who have pulled back in recent years. We attract members from Waller County, Fort Bend County, and of course, western Harris County. It is our intent to be laid back and have fun in the hobby of amateur radio while still being serious when we key up the mike. <br clear="none">We would love to meet up with you all, our neighbors to the west! Hopefully, many of the SFA club members will be interested and make the short drive out to our event.
