Previously, it was set to 10.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The reason for the change: DG-ID functions as a digital squelch. When set to 10, users must set their rig to that DG-ID, or their transmissions will be rejected. Setting the repeater’s DG-ID to 00 effectively turns off digital squelch, and allows all signals through regardless of your rig’s DG-ID setting. This change makes the system easier to use, since you don’t have to fiddle around with the DG-ID setting of your rig.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The only potential down side is if there is another C4FM repeater on our frequency, it’s signals will also be heard.
