We put on a 6 week class for the Technician class license in which we had 12 students. We registered the class with the ARRL, and in conclusion offered testing for those in the class and others in the area interested in first time testing or upgrade. After the smoke cleared we examined 15 candidates for licensing and upgrades. We now have 9 newly licensed hams in our area and 2 that upgraded. Overall it was a very successful endeavor and I feel it enhanced the local ham community from Austin to Bryan/College Station based on candidate testing.

73

Dennis H.
