We'll be commemorating the 194th anniversary of the founding of Austin's Colony in Texas in 1823, as well as Austin's 224th birthday which was on Nov. 2.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Skip and I plan to arrive onsite with the Lark around 8 am to set up. We expect to be on the air by 9 am, and the event goes until 4 pm. Operations will be on the 20m and 40m bands, and we'll have a 600 watt amplifier to make sure our signal gets out. As before, we'll be operating as W5SFA for the event. By having more people, we can trade places frequently for operating and logging.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Plan to stop by, and stay as long as you can. We'll have hot dogs, drinks, etc as well as a portable shelter set up and a few chairs - but you might want to bring your own chairs too.
