So if you want to participate it is not too late - but I need to know ASAP as I plan to place the order tomorrow (Saturday). This will ensure we have the kits by May 31.

The base "Ultimate 3S" kit from http://qrp-labs.com is $33 plus shipping. This kit includes a synthesizer board, display board, CPU board and low-pass filter board that all plug together. It is not a difficult build, and is a great learning tool. We will have equipment and tools on hand to do assembly and testing. This includes soldering equipment, wire cutters, etc. Assembly instructions for the kit build are at the site above. Some members ordered early and are in the process of building, so they will be able to provide guidance and assistance. So if you have never built a kit before, inexperience is no excuse :-)

The Ultimate 3S kit is a 150 mW transmitter that can operate on several modes. It's primary purpose is a beacon transmitter, and it can operate on 2m thru 2200m bands with the proper filters. The base kit includes one filter, but additional ones can be added. Most people will be using it for WSPR (weak signal propagation reporting). 150 mW can reach halfway around the world with WSPR! You can find out more about WSPR at http://wsprnet.org

Let me know soonest if you want to participate in the bulk order.

73,

Roger N5RWK
