We need to begin planning the festivities.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Ron K1PEC and I visited the State Historic Site a few weeks ago to present the $25 donation check from the club. We also talked with the staff about permission to operate there again for this year's event. So we will be able to operate both days at the SHS. We'll be able to keep our equipment and antennas set up on site over Saturday night if we wish.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The Texas QSO Party runs from 9 am to 9 pm Saturday, and 9 am - 6 pm on Sunday, so we will have plenty of air time on the air. If we are all operating from one location, we'll be able to network the N3FJP logging software to avoid duplicate contacts. This will be tested during Field Day in June. Also, we can have one group working the Special Event Stations while another group can work the QSO party and respond to calls.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The next step is to get an ad hoc planning committee together and work out the details.
