<P dir=ltr>I really thought we would be able to participate some this year. The
venue outside the courthouse sounds like a good plan. However a colleague and
friend in Kingsville, Tx is retiring and having a reception on the
27th. We need to attend. Have fun, score high, and give hamming a good
name!<BR>73, Gil and Beth</P>

<DIV>Folks,
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Field Day is fast approaching, with less than two weeks away. I
need to know who is participating so we can decide when we will be operating,
who is bringing what, etc. This will be a great opportunity to get
familiar with the courthouse station's Yaesu FT-2000 rig. Besides HF, we
can also operate on VHF and UHF, so even handheld transceivers will
work.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Field Day officially starts at 1pm local time on Saturday, June 27 and
ends on Sunday, June 28 at 4 pm. But, we do not need to operate during
the entire time. I would suggest we set up around 11 - 11:30 on Saturday
and run until interest wanes.</DIV>

<DIV><B>So arrive and depart as your schedule permits, please let me know the
approximate times you plan to be around, and what equipment you are bringing.
</B>We can work out the final details and schedule at our monthly meeting at
Yani's next Wednesday.</DIV>

<DIV>Could someone volunteer to take pictures? Also, if someone could
help organize food (maybe hot dogs?) and drinks that would be great.</DIV>

<DIV>Let me know if you have any ideas or questions!</DIV>
