It is designed to function on just one. They made up for the other with a much larger super capacitor, and tested it and found that it functioned well. They reported today that it went to about 40,000 ft yesterday and is probably out over the gulf this morning out of the range of aprs tracking stations, which are so short ranged. It will be interesting to see what happens. 73, David W5FUY

Why only half a solar panel? I guess they expect it to always point to the
