There isn't much that happens on Friday, the main event is on Saturday from 8 am until around 1 or 2 pm in the afternoon.

The Summerfest web site is still a bit thin as far as details about the technical program, but the Texas VHF-FM Society meets from 1-3 pm and the ARRL forum is from 9-10 am Saturday.

 

If anyone is planning to stay overnite on Friday (and save an early morning drive to Austin) let me know and perhaps we can hook up for dinner, drinks, mayhem etc.  You can now reserve the hotel room online, they just added the link to the web site.  Rate is $109/nite, with taxes comes to about $125.
