> Above Picture: Chris gives the thumbs up - Tuesday's water main repair completed.
>
> On Tuesday afternoon, August 21, a contractor cut a 12-inch water main near the water treatment plant. This caused portions of our water system to lose pressure and as a precautionary measure, the city issued a boil water advisory. After the cut water main was repaired and crews restored pressure, multiple water samples were taken for testing. The City received our results this morning and they were all found to be safe.

> TCEQ Required Statement:
>
> On 8/21/2018, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Brenham public water system, PWS:2390001, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
>
> The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of 8/23/2018.
