You can’t link repeaters that are that far away the way that we do here. It is done with a controller and RF links. That far away you would have to have our repeater on the internet. We hope to do that on the digital side with the club repeaters and the D-Star that I own and am going to put at the tower site. We are waiting on Rise Broadband and the county to get the paperwork agreements taken care of. Then when you go somewhere that has either D-Star (ICOM) or Wires-X (Yaesu) you would be able to talk to anyone here that has a digital of either brand.

All in all the B.fang would not work in our system. The club could get a HF net started???

I’m not available on the 16th but I’ll give the 23rd a shot if no one else has picked it up. Roger won’t be around to drum me too bad so what the heck!

 

Also does anyone know how to link repeaters? I have a daughter in Lubbock and I would like to participate on the Tuesday net when we are up there via my little handheld Baofeng.
