I’ll bring the ICOM, but you may be happier with the KX3. Your choice.

Cam,
Thanks! Your IC-738 sounds very workable. We might need a generator to operate if we output at 100W.
I had figured on bringing my KX3 with 50-watt external amp, powered by a 100W solar panel and 55ah battery. Probably would use my MFJ "big ear" pertable antenna, which is good for 10-40m. This antenna could also handle the 100W output from the icom. We don't need to operate the same rigs all the time, would propose we leave it up to operator's choice.
Subs sound good to me, I think we can get the club to spring for that.
Thanks,
Roger

Hi Roger,
Don’t know your plans are for a transceiver and logging software. I have an IC 738 which has a built-in power supply. It’s pretty old but has CI-V which hasn’t been used. Also, I could pick up some Antone’s subs on Friday, if we are supplying lunch. Probably play out around 5 so dinner wouldn’t be an issue or not.
Does Ron know that we are depending on him for public info.?

Folks,
Field Day is fast approaching, with less than two weeks away. I need to know who is participating so we can decide when we will be operating, who is bringing what, etc. This will be a great opportunity to get familiar with the courthouse station's Yaesu FT-2000 rig. Besides HF, we can also operate on VHF and UHF, so even handheld transceivers will work.
Field Day officially starts at 1pm local time on Saturday, June 27 and ends on Sunday, June 28 at 4 pm. But, we do not need to operate during the entire time. I would suggest we set up around 11 - 11:30 on Saturday and run until interest wanes.
So arrive and depart as your schedule permits, please let me know the approximate times you plan to be around, and what equipment you are bringing. We can work out the final details and schedule at our monthly meeting at Yani's next Wednesday.
Could someone volunteer to take pictures? Also, if someone could help organize food (maybe hot dogs?) and drinks that would be great.
Let me know if you have any ideas or questions!
Thanks,
Roger
